    Why the weird name?

    "How do I shot web?"

The phrase is an old internet forum classic: an accidental typo asking how Spider-Man fires webs, which stuck around as shorthand for asking an absurdly specific question online. It is a fitting name for a site built out of absurdly specific questions.

The joke is the wrapper, not the payload

A lot of search results these days bury the answer under several screens of padding before getting to the point. This site is the opposite bet: a tool or a straight answer, above the fold, for the practical stuff nobody explains clearly.

The design plays the straight man

The humor lives in the words, not the layout. Underneath the name, the typography and the calculators are plain and serious, because a tool you are trying to get a real number out of should feel dependable even if the site that hosts it does not take itself too seriously.

    Nothing leaves your browser

Every calculator, converter, and generator on this site runs entirely on your device. Nothing you paste, type, or upload into a tool is ever sent to a server, because there is no server behind the tools to send it to. Details are in the privacy page.

How it is built and paid for

This is a static site with no server-side code, hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps hosting costs at essentially zero. That is also why every tool has to run in your browser rather than on a backend: there is no backend. Two things are meant to fund it: ad space, which is reserved in the page templates but currently empty, and the recommendations, which today carry no affiliate links and earn nothing. If either of those changes, thedisclosure page says so first.
